SL8.03 Enhancements: Jobs

Posted by on Nov 3, 2011 in Infor10 ERP Business (SyteLine ERP) | 0 comments

The Job enhancements for SL8.03 are :

  1. Job Transactions Form
  2. Yield in Operation

Job Transactions can now be viewed in a form and filtered to your desire. A query form is also added.

Yield field is added to operation and modifies the expected output. It is the percentage of completion at an operation. So if yield is 90% and received quantity is 100, then the expected completion will be 90. The effect of yield is cumulative through the operations.

Yield is linked to Shrink Factor in Items form. Changes in the yield in Current Operations will auto update the Shrink Factor. Changes to the Shrink Factor will update the yield in the last operation of the Current Operations.

Planning and scheduling will not consider yield in the calculation. Costing at operation and batch scheduling will also not be affected. More information can be obtained from SL8.03.

SL8.03 Enhancements: Multi-Site

Multi-Site Items Form

With Syteline 8.03,  you can maintain Customers and Items in multi-site environment from a central site. This is adding and update.

However, Item/warehouses, stock room locations, costs and prices still need to be maintained at the local sites.

Introduction to EPAK

Posted by on Aug 8, 2011 in Complementary Solutions | 0 comments

Infor recently introduced this thing called EPAK (Enterprise Performance Accelerator Kit). EPAK is a tool essentially used to (amongst others):

  1. Develop training materials.
  2. Develop work instructions / operating manuals.
  3. Develop evaluation/tests to see if your users are competent using Infor products.

We know some of you (and even us) spend a lot of painstaking time & costs developing work instructions, and also to maintain them in future. Some of you may even find it difficult to assess your users’ understanding of SyteLine (or other Infor products), as there is no systematic way of evaluation/tests.

We strongly encourage you to join us for this 1 hour presentation to see how you can solve all of the above issues using the latest tool available. Do invite your department heads to join in too if they are interested.
